We are a family of four from the UK hoping to achieve a travel blog with a difference. After frequently visiting Thailand our ultimate goal is to leave the UK to travel Asia long term.
When deciding how we were going to make our dreams a reality we had this idea, why not start a travel blog? Stay with us for our journey. If we can do it, so can you!
Our family love Thailand and have visited Phuket and Bangkok regularly for seven years as a family and four years pre children. As we have been visiting for eleven years we have many stories, some you are best not knowing(!) as a result forming our best memories. During our time in Thailand is probably when the family together has felt “as one”.
We have had to break into Thai food slowly and with two kids relying solely on Western food. Follow us for our favourite restaurants, coffee shops in addition to the odd bar that we have visited. Besides this, we will share playgrounds, beaches and soft plays.
The aim is to show a lot more of Asia first hand when we finally leave the UK for full time travel by the end of this year. Our goal was to leave the UK by the time we reached 35 and we are on the right track!
Stay tuned for packing tips for men, women and children, also covering how to survive long haul flights with children and how to navigate getting around.
Lastly, we also look at money, the weather and high season vs low season.

Who are we? We are creators of our world.
Well at least creators of our family travel blog.
With a collection of many tattoos and the kids being homeschooled we are not your most conventional family. That being said, we love adventure and freedom, the UK doesn’t offer us that and so we are desperate for a change. We are now ready to leave the UK behind to travel Asia with two kids and four suitcases in tow.
We created our own business that has a lot of ups and downs and when you want to do things your own way in life, the universe throws you hurdles. I suppose we are not here for the easy route.
When we created our first business we hadn’t factored in that when we took time off, we wouldn’t get paid. So we have had to work hard to create a new business for ourselves so we can work remotely.
When we leave for full time travel, we will be leaving nothing behind in the UK, we really are about to take a huge leap.
Here at The Scatty Frogs we work hard at everything we do and when you have the right mindset, you can do anything in life.
